Ahmed Shehzad registers his name in Gold Category for PSL Draft 2025

Last time when Ahmed Shehzad announced his retirement from PSL. He said, “I’m never playing PSL again.” He even made some allegations and suggested increasing the number of teams to at least 10. He made quite a few comments back then.

Now, surprisingly, his name has appeared in the recently released Gold category list for this year’s PSL. It’s quite shocking because earlier he said he was retiring from PSL and would never play again. Later, Ahmed Shehzad went on to play in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

But now, once again, he has entered his name in the HBL PSL 10 draft. I feel like if he doesn’t get picked this time either, and no team bids for him, then what will happen? Will Ahmed Shehzad retire again?

By the way, his YouTube channel is doing really well with decent views, so he’s already developed an alternate career option for himself. But it seems he still believes there’s a lot of cricket left in him, and maybe that’s why he has submitted his name for the HBL PSL draft.

The PSL draft is scheduled for January 13 now. Initially, it was planned for January 11 in Gwadar, but it got rescheduled to January 13. There are many exciting names in this year’s draft, including in the Diamond and Gold categories. Some really good players will be up for grabs.
