Ali Tareen will Not Renew Multan Sultans PSL Contract for PSL 11
Ali Tareen, owner of Multan Sultans, said that he has absolutely no intention of reviewing Multan Sultans’ contract for PSL 11. Tareen said that he had bought the team with great expectations and at a very high price when no one was ready to take this risk. But according to PCB rules, whenever you have to renew a contract, you have to pay the current price plus 25%.

But if we look at Multan Sultans, it is currently the most expensive team, and if we pay 25% extra, it will result in a loss for us. And besides, we are not making any profit from Multan Sultans, so it would be foolish to renew the contract. He said in the podcast that when he bought the franchise in 2018, PSL’s growth was quite good, which is why he acquired Multan Sultans at a good amount.
After that, from 2021 to 2024, Multan Sultans played in every final and even won one final. But now PSL is going in such a direction that it is declining day by day. According to him, PSL’s growth is not happening the way it should, which is why he is upset with PSL and does not want to sign the same Multan Sultans contract again.
He clearly stated that he will remain the owner of Multan Sultans and will acquire the Team with new bidding and new contract.
