Babar Azam joins the List of Must Ducks in the PSL

Babar Azam, often hailed as the king of Pakistani batsmen, has unintentionally created a record he probably never imagined setting. In the opening match of PSL 10, when Peshawar Zalmi faced Quetta Gladiators, Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck after facing just two deliveries.

With this early dismissal, Babar Azam has now joined the list of players with the most ducks in PSL history. By getting out on zero, he has equaled Kamran Akmal’s record of ducks in the tournament. Interestingly, he also surpassed Shaheen Shah Afridi on this unfortunate list.

Currently, the record for the most ducks in PSL belongs to Imad Wasim, who has been dismissed for zero in 12 innings, followed by Wahab Riaz with 10 ducks.

Though getting out for a duck was a surprising moment for Babar, it’s important to note that he remains the highest run-scorer in PSL history. This single failure doesn’t affect his stature, and fans are hopeful he will bounce back strongly.

Peshawar Zalmi’s next match is scheduled against Islamabad United tomorrow, and fans are looking forward to seeing Babar Azam return to form and continue his journey toward becoming the top scorer of PSL 10 as well.
