PSL 10: David Warner appointed as Karachi Kings’ Captain

Former Australian cricketer David Warner has been appointed as the captain of Karachi Kings for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. Warner was not picked by any team in the IPL auction, and on January 13, Karachi Kings selected him in the PSL draft. Now, he is set to lead the team as captain in his first-ever PSL appearance.

Warner, a destructive left-handed opener, is known for his aggressive batting style and strong leadership skills. He has been a key player for Australia in both ODIs and T20s, proving himself as one of the most dangerous openers in world cricket. He has previously captained his team in the Big Bash League (BBL) as well.

In PSL 9, Shan Masood was the Karachi Kings’ captain. He played a crucial role in supporting young talent and building a strong foundation for the team. Under Warner’s leadership, Masood will now be part of the squad.

Karachi Kings picked Warner in the Platinum category during the PSL 10 draft and have now handed him the captaincy role. The franchise owner, Salman Iqbal, welcomed Warner to the team, stating that his aggressive batting approach will bring a new vision to Karachi Kings and help improve the team’s overall performance. At the same time, he also appreciated Shan Masood for his contributions in the previous season, acknowledging the solid foundation he laid for the team.
