As you know, the PSL is just a few months away starting from the 17th of April 2025, but the discussions have already started about which players will be playing for which teams. There is a big update that I am about to tell you. The big news is that some players are being transferred between teams and one of the Biggest Name is Fakhar Zaman.

Will Fakhar Zaman be moving to Quetta Gladiators, or will he stay with Lahore Qalandars? Many rumors are circulating in the media about this. Senior analysts are discussing the possibility that we might see Fakhar Zaman playing for Karachi Kings in PSL 10, or maybe for Islamabad or Quetta, or even another team. It seems he might be parting ways with Lahore Qalandars.
If you ask me, Fakhar Zaman’s first choice would be Lahore Qalandars because they gave him his name and made him a big brand in the Pakistan team. However, if Fakhar Zaman gets a good offer from a big team, he might consider joining Karachi Kings or Quetta Gladiators.

Karachi doesn’t have good openers right now. Previously, they had Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam, but Babar Azam has moved to Peshawar Zalmi, and Sharjeel Khan has also left. So, Karachi Kings might pick Shan Masood and Fakhar Zaman since they are in talks with the Karachi Kings’ management.
On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman might join Quetta Gladiators because they also lack good openers. They have Jason Roy, but there’s a possibility he might not come. They also have South Shakeel as an opener, but they need a strong opener like Fakhar Zaman. All eyes will be on Fakhar Zaman in the PSL auction.
Lahore Qalandars usually pick Fakhar at the end, but this time he might end up with Karachi Kings or Quetta Gladiators. We will know for sure during the PSL draft whether Lahore Qalandars will retain Fakhar Zaman or if he will move to Karachi Kings.
