PCB to Introduce Two New Rules in PSL 10

PCS has now introduced two new rules for the PSL 10 to make the game more interesting.

Rule Number 1

The first new rule is the two-playing XI rule. When the captains of both teams come out for the toss, they will bring two playing XIs. If a team loses the toss, its captain will decide which of the two playing XIs will play. The other captain will also have time to decide which playing XI is best suited for the conditions, consulting with their core team. Both teams will have one minute to decide after winning or losing the toss.

Note: PCB has Announced the PSL 10 Schedule.

Rule number 2

The second rule, my favorite, is the Power Surge play. This rule is taken from the Big Bash League. The power play will be for four overs instead of the usual six overs. After that, teams can opt for a two-over power play at any time during the match, even in the 18th or 19th over.

This allows for more flexibility, especially when needing runs. During these two overs, only two fielders will be allowed outside the circle, with the rest inside. Overall, this rule makes for a total of six overs of power play, with four overs at the start and two overs at the team’s discretion.
