PSL 10 Draft likely to be held Abroad

PSL 10 Draft likely to be held Abroad this Friday

A high profile meeting was held in Lahore regarding the Pakistan Super League (PSL), during which it was decided that this year’s PSL 10 draft will not be held in Pakistan but abroad. There is a high probability that the PSL draft will be announced on Friday, December 13.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the next steps for PSL, with all six franchise holders in attendance. To further increase PSL’s popularity, it was agreed that this year’s draft will take place either in England or Dubai, aiming to elevate the league’s global presence.

It’s worth noting that this year, PSL will clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time. Franchise owners are making every effort to improve the league in all aspects. Many are actively working to bring big-name players to their teams. Interestingly, some renowned players have reportedly contacted the PCB themselves, expressing their willingness to play in PSL a huge milestone for the league.

Because of the IPL clash, many top players already picked in the IPL draft will not be available for PSL. However, surprisingly, some high-profile players who were not selected in the IPL draft are now available for PSL, offering a unique opportunity for teams to secure influential players.

One of the key objectives of this meeting was also to approach the England Cricket Board (ECB) and request NOCs (No Objection Certificates) for English players to participate in PSL 10. Currently, the ECB has refused to allow its players to participate in franchise leagues that conflict with their domestic cricket schedules, but it has made exceptions for IPL participation.

The meeting concluded with the confirmation that the PSL draft will indeed take place in December, with a strong likelihood of an announcement this Friday. This is exciting news for cricket fans, as many big-name players are expected to join PSL this year, making the league even more thrilling and prestigious.
