Both Williamson and David Warner were part of the PSL 10 draft, and Karachi Kings picked both. David Warner was available for the full season and was appointed as the captain of Karachi Kings.

However, Kane Williamson was unavailable for the initial matches of the season due to contractual commitments with his IPL franchise. He had already informed the franchise about this at the time of the draft.
Despite that, Karachi Kings still picked him, which shows how important Williamson is to the team.

Due to his unavailability at the start of the season, Karachi Kings picked Under-19 player Saad Baig as a replacement through the replacement draft, and he was also included in the playing XI against Multan Sultans.

Karachi’s first match was against Multan Sultans, where Multan set a massive target. But thanks to the brilliant batting of James Vince and others, Karachi Kings chased it down comfortably. Vince scored the first century of PSL 10 and played a key role in giving his team their first win of the tournament.
