Sarfraz Ahmad Appointed as the Director of Quetta Gladiators for PSL 10
Great news for all Quetta Gladiators fans! Sarfaraz Ahmed, who the Quetta Gladiators did not pick in this year’s PSL draft, has now been appointed as the team’s director by franchise owner Nadeem Omar.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, a former Pakistan captain, is a legendary name in Pakistan cricket and has been a key part of Quetta Gladiators since day one. As the team’s captain, he led Quetta through all its ups and downs. However, in PSL 10, he was not selected in the draft, which disappointed many cricket fans.
But in an official statement, Quetta Gladiators’ franchise owner Nadeem Omar announced that they are appointing Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team’s director. They expressed confidence that just as Sarfaraz led the team as a captain, he will now play a crucial role as team director, working alongside head coach Moin Khan to strengthen the squad.

From PSL 2016 to 2022, Sarfaraz Ahmed was the captain of Quetta Gladiators and led them to their first-ever PSL title in 2019. During his PSL career, he played a total of 86 matches, scoring 1,525 runs, including seven half-centuries. In PSL 2023, Sarfaraz Ahmed was replaced by Rilee Rossouw as captain, and now, after not being picked in PSL 10’s draft, he has officially taken on the role of Quetta Gladiators’ team director.
