We Might Not See PSL X Exhibition Match in Peshawar

The PSL X exhibition match, scheduled to be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Legends on April 8, has been making headlines due to various concerns.

Recently, PCB officials visited Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar but were not satisfied with its incomplete condition. The stadium pitches are not up to the level of PSL, and several other issues could hinder the smooth conduct of the match. As a result, PCB is now reconsidering the venue for the exhibition match.

Given the current situation in Peshawar, security concerns for players are also a major issue. Under the present circumstances, hosting the match in Peshawar seems quite difficult.

Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, has always been an advocate for bringing PSL matches to Peshawar. His efforts were somewhat successful as hosting an exhibition match in Peshawar was a significant achievement. However, due to the stadium’s condition, ticketing concerns, and security challenges, it now appears uncertain whether the match will actually take place in Peshawar.
