The PCB confirmed that the results of the technical bidding phase will be announced on 27 December. After scrutiny, only technically qualified bidders will move to the next stage of the process.
In the final phase, the shortlisted bidders will compete in an open auction to purchase the two new PSL franchises. This open bidding is scheduled to take place on 8 January at the Islamabad Convention Center, where the seventh and eighth PSL teams will be finalized.
PCB sources say the transparent bidding process is aimed at strengthening PSL’s long term structure and attracting serious investors ahead of the league’s next phase of growth.
