Pakistani media claims the PCB has not allowed Afghan players into the PSL draft, while Afghan media reports that their cricket board has withheld NOCs. Due to the conflicting statements, it remains unclear which side has caused the breakdown, but indications are that Afghan cricketers will not feature in PSL 11. Players such as Rashid Khan, who is under a major IPL contract, remain unavailable due to scheduling.
PSL 11 will feature eight teams for the first time, with Hyderabad and Sialkot joining the league. Sialkot became the most expensive franchise at PKR 185 crore, followed by Hyderabad at PKR 175 crore.
