Interest in the two new PSL teams has reached a peak ahead of PSL 11. Franchise rights will be auctioned on 8 January, with investors from Pakistan, the UK, the US and other countries showing strong interest.
The response from the investors is very positive as the PCB roadshows in the UK and New York helped attract international investors.

PCB has finalized a financial model under which the new teams will receive up to 95 percent of revenue from the central pool. For the first five seasons, each new team is guaranteed at least PKR 85 crore. PCB will cover any shortfall if revenue falls below this amount.
City options for the new teams include Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit. Choosing a city outside this list will require PCB approval and a one time fee of one million dollars.
New franchise owners will not be allowed to sell their teams for three years. From the fourth year, ownership transfer will be allowed with PCB approval and a 10 percent annual fee.
