The franchise was purchased by Ali Naqvi, and at that time, its brand value was estimated at 15 million dollars. Islamabad United All Captains
Since Islamabad United joined the PSL, the team has had only three captains. Misbah-ul-Haq captained the team from the first season until 2018. After him, Mohammad Sami led the team for one season. From 2020 onwards, Shadab Khan has been the captain, and he continues to lead the team today. Shadab Khan is also part of the Pakistan national team and is regarded as one of the most successful all-rounders, leading Islamabad United with great consistency.
