Mohsin Naqvi Opens Door for Ali Tareen’s Return to PSL Ownership
The Pakistan Cricket Board has made it clear that former Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen will face no restrictions in the upcoming Pakistan Super League auction.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said Ali Tareen will be welcomed in the auction and will have full rights to participate. He confirmed that Tareen will be given a completely fair chance in the bidding process and that there will be no obstacles for him in any form. The auction for two new PSL teams is scheduled to be held on 8 January at the Convention Center in Islamabad.
Ali Tareen, who belongs to Lodhran and is popular in South Punjab, previously owned Multan Sultans. Observers say that while he may bid for a new team, the emotional connection he had with Multan may not be replicated with another city.
PCB officials have reiterated that the auction process will be transparent and fair, and all qualified bidders, including Ali Tareen, will be treated equally when the bidding takes place on 8 January.
