Multan Sultans Eliminated from PSL
The Multan Sultans’ journey in the Pakistan Super League has officially come to an end. In the upcoming edition, the Pakistan Cricket Board will operate the team itself, after which the franchise will be sold to new owners.

The strong public statements by the franchise owner and the subsequent tearing up of the notice ended all chances of reconciliation between the PCB and Multan Sultans. As a result, the franchise contract has formally expired. The decision to retain the name Multan Sultans or adopt a new name will rest with the new owners.
Along with the ownership change, all official social media accounts and the website linked to Multan Sultans have also been taken over.
Interestingly, while Ali Tareen stepped away from a franchise with an annual fee of 1.08 billion rupees, he is also participating in the bidding process for the seventh and eighth PSL teams. Several other major parties are expected to compete in the auction as well.
