PCB Rejects Rumors of Faisalabad and Gilgit as New PSL Teams
Last night a news appeared in which it was said that PCB had finalized the names of two cities and that the franchises of those two cities were going to become part of the PSL. The names of those two cities were said to be Faisalabad and Gilgit. After this, the news spread widely.
Today PCB issued a press release in which PCB updated regarding the new team names. In it, PCB said that no cities have been finalized by PCB and it is not possible either. The news about the two cities, Faisalabad and Gilgit, being finalized is completely false.
PCB said that for the new team, franchise owners will have to place bids and the two teams that place the highest bids will have the option to choose the city of their choice. Therefore, saying that PCB has finalized two teams is untrue. It depends on the top bidder, who can choose whichever city he wants.
