PSL 2026 New Teams Auction to Be Held Today
The long-awaited moment for Pakistan Super League fans arrives today, as the PSL 2026 team auction begins at 4 PM at the Islamabad Convention Centre. In this open auction, the 10 technically qualified bidders approved by the PCB will compete for ownership rights of two new PSL franchises. The two highest bidders will be awarded the new teams.

Six shortlisted cities are available for auction: Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, and Gilgit. The highest bidder will select a city first, followed by the second-highest bidder choosing from the remaining options.
The qualified bidders include several prominent corporate groups and companies, among them Invert-X Energy, OZ Group of Companies, VGO Tel, JazzCash, DSM Builders, I2C, and Prisma Estate & Builders. Each bidder will seek to secure a 10-year franchise agreement, with renewal and valuation processes taking place at the end of the term.
Notably, Ali Khan Tareen’s company (DSM Builders) is among the qualified bidders, drawing strong anticipation from PSL supporters who hope to see him re-enter the league as a team owner.
The outcome of today’s auction will formally determine the seventh and eighth teams for PSL Season 11 in 2026, marking the most significant expansion in the league’s history.
