Currently part of Peshawar Zalmi, Saim Ayub has been with the franchise since PSL 2023, where his partnership with Babar Azam became one of the most talked-about duos in the league. His stylish stroke play, highlighted by the famous “no-look” shot, quickly turned him into one of Pakistan’s most exciting young talents.

However, Saim’s T20 form has been inconsistent in recent months. The left-hander has struggled to replicate his ODI performances in T20 cricket, recording several low scores in the Asia Cup and the South Africa series. While his batting remains a work in progress, his off-spin bowling has emerged as a key strength in 2025, with the carrom ball becoming his signature delivery, notably used to dismiss Shubman Gill.

Sources suggest that Karachi Kings are eager to sign Saim ahead of the next season, not only for his talent but also for his local connection. Despite representing Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi Kings have often lacked major Karachi-based players in their squad, which has been a long-standing criticism among fans.

If the move goes through, Saim Ayub’s inclusion could reignite Karachi’s local fan base, giving the franchise both a homegrown star and a much-needed boost in excitement ahead of PSL 11.
