Sialkot Stallionz Is New name of Sialkot PSL Franchise
The newly awarded Sialkot Stallions franchise has officially revealed its name following its sale for PKR 185 crore, making it the most expensive team in Pakistan Super League history.
The franchise will compete under the name Sialkot Stallionz, with the spelling slightly altered by replacing the traditional “S” with a “Z”, while keeping the pronunciation unchanged. The change has been widely noticed, with branding that appeals to a younger audience.

So far, only the team name has been announced. Branding elements such as the logo, colors, and player planning are yet to be unveiled. With PSL timelines approaching quickly, franchise officials are expected to move rapidly on squad building and management appointments.
The Stallions name carries a strong legacy in Pakistan’s domestic T20 history. From 2005 to 2012, the previous Sialkot Stallions dominated the national T20 circuit, winning six titles and recording 25 consecutive T20 victories, both of which remain records.
The historic Stallions side featured several prominent Pakistan cricketers, including Shoaib Malik, Imran Nazir, Abdul Razzaq and Mohammad Yousuf.
By reviving the Stallions identity, the new ownership has opted to build on an established brand rather than starting from scratch. The team is expected to play its home matches in Faisalabad, where strong crowd support is anticipated.
Further announcements regarding the team’s logo, squad, and coaching staff are expected in the coming days.
