England’s top cricketers such as Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root could become part of the Pakistan Super League, with reports suggesting progress on the long-standing NOC issue.

The PCB is making efforts to bring Joe Root into the PSL. While Root is not a regular T20 player, his name being discussed is significant because he is centrally contracted, indicating possible movement on NOC permissions.
Discussions between the PCB and the England and Wales Cricket Board are close to resolution, with reports claiming that up to 90 to 95 percent of the issues have been settled. If resolved, centrally and county-contracted English players could be cleared to play in the PSL.
The PCB believes the current situation, where English players not picked in the IPL are still unable to play in the PSL, is unfair and is pushing for a change through negotiations.
If an agreement is finalized, PSL could see the arrival of major English stars alongside leading players from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, potentially making the upcoming season one of the strongest in the league’s history.
