PSL 11 – No Contract Renewal For Multan Sultans
Multan Sultans are not continuing in PSL 11 as the franchise has not received the new 10 year PSL contract. According to sources, the valuation sent to franchise owners for the next cycle has not been delivered to Multan Sultans, which indicates that the team will not take part under its current ownership.
In the previous update, it was reported that two new franchises will join the league and team owners have been given a 10 day deadline to respond to the new valuation. Those who agree will pay the set amount each year for the next 10 years. However, sources inside the Multan Sultans management confirm that no valuation has been shared with them, despite the PSL press release stating that valuation has been sent to all franchise owners.

The situation follows earlier tensions between Ali Tareen and the PSL management. A legal notice was issued to Ali Tareen demanding a public apology in order to retain the franchise. The notice stated that without an apology, he would not be allowed to retain ownership, place a bid, or purchase any franchise. Ali Tareen released a video, which he considered an apology, but he also tore the legal notice, showing he was not apologizing publicly.
Reports claim that during a meeting, he was asked to stay quiet and told he would be informed privately. The current developments indicate that the conditions mentioned in the legal notice are now being applied. Ali Tareen is not being given the option to retain Multan Sultans or to bid for any franchise.
This means the bidding process will now include not only two new franchises but also the Multan team. The new owner will choose a new name and a new logo, as the previous name included Sultans, which was added by Ali Tareen.
According to sources, Ali Tareen will not be able to buy any PSL team for the next 10 years. Multan will go to open bidding, and the two new teams will also be auctioned. Since valuation has not been given to the Multan franchise, it will go directly to the auction stage.
