PSL 10 Player Retentions Date Announced
The date that all PSL fans have eagerly awaited has finally been announced! The PCB has officially revealed the player retention announcement date for PSL 10, set for January 4, 2025. On this date, all six franchises will announce the players they retain for the upcoming season. This announcement will be shared across PSL’s social media platforms and official WhatsApp channels.
Player retention is a crucial and exciting phase for cricket fans and franchises alike, as it lays the groundwork for the team’s structure ahead of the draft. It also gives fans an idea of which of their favorite players will remain with their teams this season.
It’s worth noting that due to a schedule clash with the IPL, many top players have already been signed for the IPL. However, PSL fans have a reason to celebrate as numerous star players have already signed up for the PSL 10 draft, alongside a wealth of local talent.
So far, the names of 22 foreign players have been announced, including big names such as David Willey, Jason Roy, Luke Wood, Usman Khawaja, Matthew Short, Alex Carey, Sikandar Raza, Mustafizur Rahman, Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Sean Abbott, and others.
More prominent names are yet to be revealed as the PSL 2025 draft approaches. It will be interesting to see which players the six franchises Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators decide to retain before the draft.
